Here's how my installation piece turned out once I'd stuck train tickets and my images to it.

An Image from my Journey
Landscape
With taking pictures of landscapes as I go past them on the train I also thought it would be good to involve landscapes of the actual places. I began looking into artists landscapes and how they are presented.
But I thought if I did a big landscape I needed to capture my emotions more or the sense of moving.
Train Journey
I found this video on youtube of a train journey, which is my source of travelling. I took pictures of my journey, which includes going from lancaster to carlisle then to newcastle then darlington. I think this video is a good example of capturing the sense of a journey.
My Journey between Lancaster and Darlington
Since I started university I feel like I lead two different lives, one in Darlington and one in Lancaster. They're so different as well, my lifestyle, the people, the environment just everything in general. It was such a change from living at home under my parents rules to all of a sudden living on my own and having to fend for myself. You also wouldn't think that moving from the north east to the north west would be that much different but I think peoples attitudes are completely different here. Lancaster is very scenic as well which is a change from Darlington because there's not much there to be honest. When I moved I think one thing I was worried about which I think everyone worried about was making friends, moving into halls made that easy because your all in the same boat and are just kind of pushed together. Another thing I worried about was my relationship, how the distance would effect us thankfully we're still going, he's my link to home when he comes visit me. In this project I looked into the landscapes and people from both places I also tried to represent my journey from place to place and my emotions involved when I get on and off that train.
